Saturday Soliloquy

What a lazy and lovely Saturday morning it was today. Overcast skies, light breeze, hint of rain in the air, almost romantic! It should be illegal to work on such days. The day that I become President or Minister of Human Resources....ok, well, I'll stop the day-dreaming there.

But, you know, there are some days which are meant to be 'non-working'. This is one of those days. This day was meant for aimless wandering, street shopping, roadside cafe coffee sippping, sea gazing, confabulating, musicening (listening to music. Yes, I just coined it.) and head bobbing. If we had drive-ins in India, also a perfect day to watch a movie alfresco.

But, instead, most of us are stuck in office. And I want to capture the spirit of this beautiful morning cause it only comes once in a while. And though I can't do any of the things this day is meant for, I hope I succeed in my effort to capture its essence. I am writing this as I listen to 'Flightless Bird, American Mouth' and it feels like the perfect background score for this day.  In my head, I can see myself ballroom dancing somewhere by the sea. How I wish I could actually do something like this without getting stared at like I am on a lunch break from the neighbouring asylum.

Maybe, that day will come soon.
